Alvester Jenkins, Sr.
She was the slave of Conrad Lowry and is buried in the Lowry slave cemetery in Edgefield County, SC. Her marker is made out of slate and has the following inscription carved into the stone: "Nancy Lowry Servant Died 1855." Her death was also recorded in the minutes of Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church, where Nancy was a member.
